The Corey Helford Gallery recently celebrated its five year Anniversary last Friday, July 1, 2011 with a special gala group exhibition "Zero to Sixty". Corey Helford Gallery asked 53 artists to create "singular" works that, as a group, will embody both the spectacle and full spectrum of an art movement so diverse it defies naming. This exhibition encompasses the best of Pop Surreal, New Figurative, Graffiti, Street Art, Digital Media, Pop Illustrative and New Classicist. Simone Legno was asked to submit artwork along with works from artists such as Todd Schorr, Natalia Fabia, Eine, D*Face, Ray Caesar, Gary Taxali, Gary Baseman, Van Arno and many more. The common thread between these artists is that they are living contemporary artists whose work is hot and populist, rejecting the elitism that created the cold, sterile art and unapproachable galleries that dominated the late twentieth century. Here is Simone Legno's contribution to the show, "Sunset In Pink" (acrylic on canvas -- 48" x 72") which will be on display until July 13, 2011. If you are in the area -- make sure to check out this amazing show! Corey Helford Gallery is located at: 8522 Washington Blvd., Culver City, CA 90232.
