Eastpak, a widely popular backpack brand, is having their third edition of Eastpak Artist Studio. This project allows renowned artists (56 from 14 different countries to be exact) to custom create on their most classic and cult backpack: the Eastpak Padded Pak’r®. The project is not solely focused on creative expression - it allows the artists to get involved with the world through their creations. All the proceeds of the sales will go to the charity organization Designers Against AIDS (DAA). Raising awareness about HIV/AIDS, pertinent to young people, is an absolute necessity and this project will help contribute to that in a creative and artistic way.
Creative Director of tokidoki Simone Legno has proudly contributed to this project with an authentic tokidoki creation. The backpack, signed and hand-drawn by Simone himself, features a distinguished tokidoki allover print. Inspired the classic technique of paint markers, Simone chose the theme using a pattern that displays "the most iconic characters of [his] universe, the harmonious coexistence of opposites."
